Limpets and Abalone


The team visits the Cabrillo National Monument to learn all about limpets and abalone. The tide pools at this location are great for learning about limpets especially Owl limpets and the Giant Keyhole limpet. Learn about how algae supports the environment and the difference between kelp, algae and sea weed. The team then visits a local aquarium to learn about why abalone is endangered and how abalone restoration projects that may one day help restore the populations.
